Postgraduate and Doctoral studies
Preparation of scientific personnel of the State Scientific Institution “Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research – Sosny” of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
In accordance with the Charter, the main objective of the scientific institution “JIPNR-Sosny” is to conduct research and development in the field of:
- nuclear energy, scientific support for the development of nuclear energy in the Republic of Belarus;
- nuclear and radiation technologies in the interests of various sectors of the economy of the Republic of Belarus;
- radioactive waste management and spent nuclear fuel management;
- fundamental and applied research in the scope of nuclear physics, elementary particle physics, high-energy physics.
In accordance with the main directions of the scientific activities of the scientific institution “JIPNR-Sosny”, at present there is a need for training highly qualified scientific personnel.
Graduate School
The post-graduate course at the scientific institution “JIPNR-Sosny” prepares specialists in the following specialties:
01.04.14 – «Thermophysics and Theoretical Heat Engineering»;
01.04.16 – «Physics of the atomic nucleus and elementary particles»;
02.00.14 – «Radiochemistry»;
05.14.01 – «Power systems and complexes»
05.14.03 – «Nuclear power plants, including design, operation and decommissioning».
A constant work is being done to attract young scientists to carry out scientific research and development, while experienced and qualified specialists continue to work as knowledge holders in the field of nuclear technologies and experience in nuclear installations.
Doctorate
Doctorate trains specialists in the following specialties:
01.04.14 – «Thermophysics and Theoretical Heat Engineering»;
01.04.16 – «Physics of the atomic nucleus and elementary particles»;
05.14.03 – «Nuclear power plants, including design, operation and decommissioning».
