History:
The Department for Operation of Technological Systems of the Storage Facility and Storage Facilities of III and RAO (until February 24, 2011, the Department for Operation of Storage of Nuclear Materials) was created for the operation of a complex of storage and handling systems for spent nuclear fuel from the Pamir-630D mobile nuclear power plant. Renamed in connection with the export of spent nuclear fuel to the Russian Federation.
The main areas of work:
- decommissioning of a storage facility;
- operation of technological systems of a storage facility;
- operation of a centralized storage of radioactive waste;
- operation of a centralized storage of ionizing radiation sources.
The main work carried out in the department:
- decommissioning of a storage facility;
- construction of a plant for the processing of liquid radioactive waste.
The most important achievements
Removal of spent nuclear fuel from the Pamir-630D mobile nuclear power plant to the Russian Federation.
The direction of further work
Decommissioning of a storage facility, operation of centralized storages of ionizing radiation sources and radioactive waste, reprocessing of LRW.
